Call for Participation - Social Impact of Dance

Dance schools, studios, companies, presenters and service organisations are invited to take a survey to provide insight into the way dance impacts Canadians.

Launched by the  Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council (OAC), the survey Attempts to answer Following Reviews some of the questions:

  • How does a dance benefit society, a community or a group particular within a community?
  • How can dance be an instrument for positive change (mental, physical, spiritual) for individuals within our society?
  • Where is our biggest impact on the well-being of Canadians?

Please take 15 minutes to fill out the survey.

Survey results will only be shared in summary and never in connection with the identity of individual organisms.

Background Information

This survey is the final stage of a major research project avocation at getting a clearer picture of Canada’s full dance ecosystem, social and economic and Its impacts. Dance Across Canada Was lancé in 2010, and HAS resulted in the establishment of the World’s Largest Dance Map, Followed by the Dance Wheel, a visual guide to the 100 Most Popular dance forms in Canada, and the Yes I Dance survey, taken by over 8,000 dance Practitioners across Canada. Dance Across Canada is Funded by the Canada Council with additional financial contribution from the Ontario Arts Council.
