Additional Info:

SING! is Canada’s premier a cappella festival (singing without instruments) held every year in May/June.  Now in its seventh season, the festival brings together thousands of professional singers (Canadian and international), students, teachers, divas, and in-the-shower belters to celebrate the beauty of the voice.  SING! strives to:

  • create a safe space for learning
  • illustrate that the voice has no limits – knows no constraints of genre, language or cultural background.
  • ask participants to step outside their comfort zones and try something new
  • educate and inspire todays’ youth
  • foster a new and revitalized patronage for the vocal arts

SING! offers four types of programming: SING! Concerts (traditional concert-hall, ticketed events), SING! Education (workshops for schools and professional development for singers), SING! Free (two weekends of a cappella performances outdoors in the Distillery District)  and SING! Plus (mixing a cappella singing with other arts disciplines)
