Presenting in the North

Northeastern and northwestern Ontario continue to be vibrant presenting regions that have been connecting remote audiences with local, national and international artists for more than 20 years. Their adult and young audience community networks, run by dedicated volunteers, are committed to bringing high-quality performances to their small and mid-sized performance spaces throughout the season. Ontario Presents is privileged to support the following networks:

Northern Adult Volunteer Presenter Network (NAVP)

The NAVP is a sub-network of Ontario Presents who work independently to plan several tours to their northern communities that otherwise would not have access to diverse, professional and entertaining performing arts experiences. Ontario Presents supports this independent NAVP with touring support, skills training and network development when necessary. Contact info [at] ontariopresents.ca (info[at]ontariopresents[dot]ca) if you are a northern presenter and wish to join the network.

Northern Theatre for Young Audience Network (NTYA)

With support from the Department of Canadian Heritage, [ADD LINK] Ontario Presents continues to provide support to a network of 13 volunteer Young Audience presenters reaching across the province from Kenora to Kirkland Lake. With facilitation from OP, the group has grown to trust each other, share logistical advice and artistic recommendations, as well as participating in curatorial development opportunities and a block booking program that generates 6+ tours each year specifically for children and their families.
