Job Description: 

Ontario Presents is searching for a capable Communications and Jr. Administrative Coordinator to help us support and improve our messaging and outreach efforts. As a front-line connection with membership and general inquiries, this role entails developing and tracking various digital marketing materials, writing and collating content, email monitoring and website development/ maintenance. This role also entails a specific support structure for members in our Classical Music Program. This role balances communications duties with several administration tasks incorporating basic financial management and data collection. Your creative and keen thinking talents and methods will be critical in driving our digital story and ensuring communication with back-end admin support flows effectively across our small staff, and broad, diverse and busy membership.

Candidates for this position should be creative and imaginative, have a strong understanding of multimedia, be well-organized and be outstanding writers and communicators. This position also requires a very flexible and open individual, able to respond to a quick-paced sector environment with administrative and financial management experience.

Position Details

Start Date: Immediately

$51,000 per annum; benefits package with 2 weeks’ vacation; f/t, permanent. This is a hybrid home/in-person position based at our office in Toronto.

Role and Responsibilities
  • First point of contact for Ontario Presents through email and phone.
  • Creating, editing and managing all marketing material including bimonthly e-newsletters.
  • Managing and monitoring creative content for our website and social media.
  • Analyze, measure, and evaluate digital platforms.
  • Monitoring, answering, and troubleshooting organizational email.
  • Assist with finance department tracking.  
  • Special event coordination.
  • Support programming and human resource duties as need be.
Requirements: 
  • A bachelor’s degree or college diploma in the performing arts, marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field; or equivalent experience & knowledge.
  • A strong interest in the performing arts and developing a career in arts administration.
  • Content Management System (CMS) expertise is required.
  • Excellent copywriting and copyediting skills.
  • Exceptionally well-organized with a strong focus on the details.
  • Understanding of web analytics.
  • Excellent presentation abilities and a knowledge of social media trends and algorithms.
  • Interested in offering a long-term professional commitment to Ontario Presents.

$51,000
