Job Description: 

The Capitol Centre seeks a highly motivated team player to be the Director of Business Operations. The Director of Business Operations is accountable to the Executive Director and acts in accordance with the constitution, by-laws, and policies of the Capitol Centre, to achieve the goals and priorities of the Capitol Centre. As a member of senior management, the Director of Business Operations ensures that the Capitol Centre’s activities run smoothly. 

Responsibilities 

In conjunction with ED, responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations; Maintain the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organization’s mission; Coordinates/Oversees all renovations, improvements, and repairs to the Capitol Centre; Responsible for participating in annual budget including capital forecasts in conjunction with Executive Director and Finance Administrator; Supervise and coach support staff on a regular basis; Prepare and administer a facility/space rental program to maximize rental opportunities for all locations within in the Capitol Centre; Oversee the planning, implementation and monitoring of the Capitol Centre’s sponsorship and marketing strategies.

Requirements: 

College or University graduate or equivalent preferably in business administration, public relations and/or fundraising; Arts administration experience/education is an asset; Three to five years in a management role; Proven experience leading multiple teams; Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills; Attention to detail and an ability to maintain focus in fast-paced work environment, while maintaining an eye on a larger picture; A “can do” attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond when necessary, including willingness to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends as required; Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
