Job Description:

Business for the Arts is looking for a Mentorship Program Manager! Do you enjoy connecting with diverse individuals and cultivating relationships? Are you passionate about professional development and the arts? Have you managed or worked with volunteers before in a non-profit setting? Would you consider yourself a fast-paced, independent worker, as well as a collaborator?

The new Mentorship Program Manager will have the ability to keep several balls up in the air, find creative solutions to hurdles that arise, and leverage an entrepreneurial spirit as we grow our programming. We are looking for someone who is organized and can handle multiple demands of the mentorship program, excel in public relations and work well with both business and arts leaders. The ideal candidate will also have a good understanding, and ideally working knowledge, of board governance and how arts and culture organizations can effectively fundraise and partner with the business community.

About the Mentorship Program

The artsVest Ontario Mentorship Program links small and mid-sized arts organizations in Ontario with seasoned arts professionals from across Canada to help build capacity and strengthen the cultural sector! Volunteer mentors provide guidance and support to artsVest organizations in the fields of corporate sponsorship and board governance for the arts. Mentorship takes place in many forms: group, peer, one-on-one, and e-mentoring. The mentorship program was launched in 2014 and complements the original artsVest program by integrating this new coaching component. This wonderful program and learning opportunity reaches approximately 50 arts organizations, or ‘mentees’, and 20 mentors in Ontario each year.
