The 27th annual general meeting of the Ontario Presents membership was held Saturday November 7th over lunch in the Grand Ballroom West of the London Hilton Hotel.
The members elected four board members two of whom are starting their first terms. Elected to the board were: Jayson Duggan, Performing Arts Manager, City of Kingston and Alyson Martin, co-president of the Sioux-Hudson Entertainment Series. Re-elected to the board were Eric Lariviere, General Manager of the Flato Markham Theatre and Sara Palmieri, Programming and Marketing Manager of the First Ontario Performing Arts Centre, St. Catharines. Continuing to serve the second year of their respective terms are Colleen Clack, General Manager of Culture and Tourism, City of Guelph; Brian McCurdy, the Kingston Grand Theatre Foundation; Patty Jarvis, Executive Director of Prologue to the Performing Arts, Toronto; and Sam Varteniuk, General Manager of the Registry Theatre, Kitchener.
The members also appointed the accounting firm of Hogg, Shain & Scheck Professional Corporation as the network’s auditors for the 2015/16 fiscal year.
The members also approved a motion to change the network’s year end to March 31st to align it with the fiscal reporting periods of its major funding partners, the Ontario Arts Council and the Department of Canadian Heritage.
