SPARC (Supporting Performing Arts in Rural Communities) invites individuals involved in the performing arts in rural and remote communities to participate in a 2-day Network Summit Nov 14-16th 2014 in the Haliburton Highlands.
The goal for the Network Summit is to explore, identify and co-create a network for performing arts in rural communities that has a positive impact, is accessible, requires low management and is a vital resource; to identify key challenges, innovations and opportunities that continually impact the performing arts in rural and remote communities; and to bring together communities, regional and national, to interact, share and collaborate.
Generous funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation has provided support for the Network Summit as well as 14 youth and other individuals from Ontario to attend. Individuals from across Canada are invited to attend, but must be able to cover their accommodation, food and travel costs.
Application deadline is October 3rd, 2014.
