I’m pleased to announce that Danna Evans has been appointed Facility Manager of River Run Centre. This change comes after a period of realignment that saw my former position at River Run transition to General Manager of Culture and Tourism for the City of Guelph, a position that includes oversight of all the cultural, heritage and entertainment facilities as well as both the culture and tourism offices. While I am still responsible for the programming and artistic vision for River Run, the transition of my position left a void with no one onsite to oversee the day to day operations, and so I’m happy that we were able to realign our staffing structure to promote Danna to this new role.
Many of you already know Danna, who brings 14 years of progressive theatre management experience to her new position. Prior to coming to River Run in 2008, she worked at variety of performing arts organizations including the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga and Drayton Entertainment. Her demonstrated organizational and leadership skills will be a great asset in her new role as Facility Manager. Please join me in congratulating Danna!
