CAPACOA continues to negotiate with RE:Sound on the issue of applicable tariff rates for the use of recorded music in live events.
Re:Sound is considering CAPACOA’s most recent proposal on both the proposed tariffs and the retro-activity on the certified grouping. RE:Sound has been amenable and quick to respond to CAPACOA’s requests to stop invoicing presenters and has compiled a ‘do not invoice’ list of presenters (CCI presenters may be added to this list).
The advice to presenters remains the same – do not pay invoices until the negotiations are resolved. IF you have received multiple invoices, and been sent to collection on account of not paying them, please let CAPACOA know immediately.
