SPARC Through Performing Arts Ontario!

CCI members are invited to Canada’s first 4-day Symposium for Performing Arts in Rural Communities (SPARC), April 24 - 27, 2014, Haliburton Highlands, Ontario.

Featuring over 35 informative workshops and 3 outstanding thought-provoking plenary keynotes, symposium welcomes performing arts professionals living in rural communities in Canada who are involved in the creation, production and presentation of performing arts in rural communities.  

The Symposium will provide a dynamic forum to address issues of sustainability, attracting new audiences, creative approaches to cultural tourism and look at ways for rural communities to share knowledge and resources. It will also provide opportunities for developing strategic partnerships.

Call for Open Stage Performers

Open stage performances will take place on the Thursday evening (up to 8 ten minute sets). There are additional opportunities at various times throughout the symposium.
