On March 7th and 8th, thirteen volunteer-based community presenters gathered in Thunder Bay for a 2-day workshop to explore two important new trends in engagement and communications for arts organizations. Facilitated by Lendre Kearns, Judy Harquail, Annalee Adair and Jane Marsland, the first day focused on exploring the tools, processes and techniques required to start a successful community engagement program. The second explored the new “it girls’ in any successful arts organization’s marketing arsenal, the use of digital marketing and social media. It was also a great opportunity for these colleagues to learn more about each other and to continue to grow their strong networks.
