From November 20-24th participants of the OAC’s Ontario Dances program travelled to the West coast to attend Dance in Vancouver, the event that was hosted by Made in BC and The Dance Centre. While at Dance in Vancouver, Ontario Dances participants attended many performances, works in progress and participated in discussions, professional development workshops and the National Dance Networking Meetings. Participating organizations in the National Dance Networks Meetings included Made in BC, Atlantic Presenters Association, La danse sur les routes and CanDance. In total there were 60 Dance Presenter at the event from all over Canada.

Our Ontario Dance presenters that attended “Dance in Vancouver” were Courtney Cook from the Living Arts Centre, Mississauga, Brian McCurdy from the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, Sam Varteniuk from the Registry Theatre, Kitchener and Ronnie Brown from the Oakville Performing Arts Centre.
