Job Description: 

The Sanderson Centre is seeking a Technical Director to coordinate all technical and production staff and equipment for presentation of high quality events. Duties include but are not limited to supervising and developing work schedule for ten part-time and twenty-five occasional employees according to the needs of each event and the terms of the collective agreement; resolving any issues or unusual circumstances to allow for successful events proceeding; solving customer and participant complaints; assessing and deciding on appropriate action for any emergency situations with appropriate emergency authority; contacting renters or their technical representatives to arrange for appropriate equipment and personnel and to schedule their event in the most cost effective manner; providing cost estimates to renters and assisting in the budgeting process. The Technical Director will meet with users of the facility to explain the capabilities and limitations of using the facility while assisting with the planning and organizing of their event.

Requirements: 

You will have a post secondary diploma in theatre production or the equivalent with a minimum of three years supervisory experience in a theatre environment/setting. An understanding and appreciation of the entertainment business, venue management and the arts industry in general is required.

Salary: 
$36.26 to $45.32
Term: 

Permanent Full Time, 35 Hours Per Week
