Community Engagement in Dance - workshop overview

On February 19th and 20th, Ontario Presents organized Community Engagement in Dance workshop at the Theatre Centre in Toronto. Hosted by the Ontario Arts Council as part of Ontario Dances program, a two day workshop provided presenters, programmers, venue managers and other professionals with the opportunity to discuss community engagement in dance.

Blue Sky 2014

Over forty members of the Ontario Performing Arts Presenting Network convened in Mississauga for the annual Blue Sky day. The day was hosted by OP member, The Living Arts Centre, Ron Lenyk, CEO and divided into two parts: an morning discussion of block booking opportunities for the 2014/15 season and afternoon session on OP programs and member discussions on initiatives and trends in their communities that are new and emerging. Calgary International Children’s Festival Delegation

With support from the Department of Canadian Heritage, Ontario Presents organized a delegation of five volunteer young-audience presenters from Northern Ontario to attend Calgary International Children’s Festival, May 22 – 25, 2014.

The festival took place at the Epcor Centre for the Performing Arts, a world-class arts venue with various size spaces within its walls.
